How we treat your information:
We will never spam you.
We do send notifications for new and modified features on the Niblz website, but only if you have opted-in to this service.
Your friends may request that we send you invitations to events they have set up, but this is only ever initiated by them – never by us. If you don't like it, you'll have to ask them to stop.
We will never disclose your personal information without your permission.
We’ll never sell, rent, share, fold, spindle, or mutilate your personal information without your express permission, unless required by law. But come on, who’s going to subpoena restaurant voting records?
We give you full control over your information. You can update your account information at any time. You can also cancel your account at any time. We’re not sure why you’d want to do that, but you can.
We will only access your personal information when:
- You specifically request us to do so (e.g. you are having technical difficulties).
- It is required by law.
- It is necessary to maintain our system.
We will protect your information from other users.
We will protect your information from marauding bears by suspending it high in a tree, away from camp.
No other users can see any of your personal information. You will only be added to another user's Events and Food Friends lists if they already know your email address.
We may sell, rent, or share information about user habits in aggregate only.
We will never do so in a manner that could even remotely be individually identifiable.
None of the personally identifying information you share with us will be shared with any other organization at any time. We will, on occasion, share broad demographic statements, such as “this many people chose McDonalds over The Olive Garden”, but no information we share will ever include your email, your name, or other identifying information.
Security
Niblz features security measures to protect the loss, misuse, or alteration of information placed under our control.
All passwords are stored on our server in encrypted form – not even we can tell what they are. But we'd bet that at least half of them are either just "password" or the name of your girlfriend. If you lose your password, we will generate a new one and send it to you.
Usage: Number of logins, last login, activity and error logs
This data helps us monitor Niblz.com’s health, and diagnose errors and slowness issues when they crop up. It also helps us analyze what features are more popular than others, and what features people are not using.
Cookies and Log Files
Niblz.com may place a cookie on your machine in order to retain session information and improve your Niblz experience. Better cookies can, however, be found at certain restaurants you may choose to visit in person. We recommend the chocolate chip variety.
As is done with most web sites, we log each visit to each web page. A log entry can contain information typically found in the “header” of your web browser’s request such as the browser type you used, your Internet Protocol address, and the date and time of day. This log information is important for security, audit, quality improvement, as well as for monitoring the health of our service.
Children’s Guidelines
We do not intentionally collect or use any online contact information or identifiable off-line contact information about a child. We do not distribute personally identifiable information about children. We do not give children the ability to post or distribute personal information without prior consent. We do not entice children with games or contests that would encourage them to disclose personal information.
